About A.

I am a recovering alcoholic/addict and also a dual diagnoses.  I was out there for roughly 18 years.  There’s not much I haven’t done or tried.  When I finally admitted myself to rehab, I was detoxed off alcohol and opiates.  Once upon a time, I was an aspiring artist/writer.  I also have an insatiable love of jelly beans.

I also write the blog Letters from the Wastelands which is my stories and insights into the disease and myself.

I am currently working on a novel of lost little things, writing poetry when it decides to randomly spill out, illustrating and writing a children’s book about forgotten fairy tales and gods and most importantly, I’m raising my son as a single father.
